Job Description:
At PediaStaff, we dedicate our efforts to placing highly
qualified pediatric and school-based therapy professionals in roles
where they can make a substantial impact. We are currently seeking
a passionate and experienced Part-time School Speech Language
Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. This position
offers the opportunity to work within supportive school
environments, focusing on delivering high-quality speech therapy
services to students. The ideal candidate will assist in
implementing speech-language therapy programs and work under the
supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to
support the development of students' communication skills. Assist
in the assessment of students’ speech, language, and communication
disorders. Implement speech therapy plans created by a licensed
Speech Language Pathologist. Document student progress and prepare
reports detailing progress and treatment. Utilize a variety of
techniques and tools to aid in student communication improvement.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to
support individual student needs. Maintain a current knowledge of
new therapies and techniques in speech language pathology. Manage a
schedule that accommodates multiple students within a school day.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, specifically in a
pediatric or school setting. Ability to follow detailed therapy
plans and instructions from a Speech Language Pathologist.
Proficiency with speech-language therapy tools and technology.
Compassionate and patient approach to handling students with
various needs. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
401k Active state licensure or certification as a Speech Language
Pathology Assistant. Certification from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is a plus.
