Here, you'll take ownership, drive change, and grow continuously while working on a mission that matters and being valued as an individual.Your ImpactAs a technical lead on the Privacy team, you will develop software supporting Axon's privacy mission, influencing architecture decisions that shape our privacy tools and services. You will work with high-availability cloud services, leveraging privacy-enhancing technologies, and making robust system design choices. Your empathy with customers will help you innovate solutions, and you'll collaborate closely with product managers and designers. Mentoring engineers and sharing your expertise will be key parts of your role.What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and services for privacy and data compliance across Axon's ecosystem, including tools for automating customer data management and protection.
• Lead or participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select suitable technologies.
• Triage, debug, and resolve system issues, analyzing impacts on hardware, network, and service quality.
• Mentor engineers to foster growth and skill development.
• Work with the latest open-source technologies.What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable, highly available cloud systems on Azure, AWS, or other public clouds.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
    • Integrating third-party solutions with internal systems.
    • Implementing system-to-system communication, microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration, CI/CD pipelines.
    • Designing and tuning robust APIs for multi-tenant environments.
    • Backend development in languages like Java, Scala, Go, C#, Python, etc.
    • Working with SQL or NoSQL data stores.
    • Building data pipelines, especially for privacy workflows.
    • Implementing data anonymization/de-identification tools.Benefits that Benefit You

The pay range for this role is USD 127,350 to USD 203,760, depending on geographic market, experience, and other factors.
