SilverRide is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shared-Ride Transportation Driver to join our team. This role centers around offering safe and reliable transportation services focused specifically on senior citizens who value their independence. Our services are unique as they not only involve driving but also companionship and personal assistance to and from various appointments, including medical visits, social events, shopping trips, and more. As a part of this role, you'll help ensure clients safely reach their destinations while providing friendly support and engaging interaction. This job serves a vital function in enabling older adults to maintain a fulfilling, independent lifestyle with the mobility support they need. Operate various types of vehicles safely with attention to timeliness and route planning. Assist clients entering and exiting vehicles, and escort them to and from their destinations. Provide friendly interaction and engage with clients throughout the journey. Maintain detailed records of mileage, vehicle maintenance, and client transportation logs. Ensure compliance with all vehicle safety standards and company policies. Handle minor vehicle maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness and hygienic conditions inside the vehicle. Excellent driving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Physical ability to assist elderly passengers Good geographic knowledge of the local area Basic first aid and CPR skills Valid Driver’s License Clean driving record CPR and First Aid Certification preferred Defensive Driving Course certification
