Company: Providence at Home with Compassus Position Summary This
position provides grief intervention and counseling to bereaved
individuals. Facilitates support groups and assists in programs as
assigned. Position Specific Responsibilities • Provide individual
and family grief support and counseling. • Co-facilitates the
bereavement program’s support groups as needed. • Responsible for
the bereavement program components and training as assigned. •
Participates in community education to promote understanding of
grief and issues of bereavement. • Establishes and promotes
positive working relationships both within the team, agency and
organization. • Participates in relevant education activities to
improve job knowledge and to promote professional growth. •
Promotes and practices personal and environmental safety while
performing job duties. • Maintains a positive and professional work
environment. • Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and
local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as
facility/agency specific policies and procedures. • Maintain
confidentiality of all client demographics, medical and financial
information at all times. Maintain confidentiality of all company
and client information. Ensure proper handling and disposal of
confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and
regulations. • Adheres to all policies and procedures including
regulatory requirements with regard to infection control,
practicing universal precautions, sanitation, and safety and
disaster preparedness. Education and/or Experience Required -
Master's Degree Counseling, psychology, social work or theological
studies/pastoral ministry. Or equivalent educ/experience Preferred
- Coursework/Training Crisis Intervention Training. WA: Meets
requirements of a church denomination re-ordination (Clinical
Pastoral Education) or significant appropriate and relevant years
of work experience may substitute for degree requirement. Required
- 3 years Post-Master's work experience, which may be comprised of
internship at PHOS and/or other relevant social services-related
role. Required - 2 years Health care services setting. Required - 1
year Post master's work experience. Prior internship at Providence
or other relevant social services-related role counts towards the 3
years of post master’s work. Required - 1 year Experience providing
grief counseling to children and families. Required - 1 year
Experience in the areas of interpersonal communications, group
process development and facilitation. Preferred - 5 years Hospice
Preferred - 1 year Experience in counseling, including basic
psychological, social and spiritual needs of the bereave persons
and risk assessment when appropriate. Preferred - Experience
leading grief support groups. Certifications, Licenses, and
Registrations WA: Required upon hire: Washington Marriage and
Family Therapist License (Vendor Managed) Or Required upon hire:
Washington Mental Health Counselor License (Vendor Managed) Or
Required upon hire: Washington Mental Health Counselor Certificate
(Vendor Managed) Or Required upon hire: Washington Counselor
Certified Adviser Certification (Vendor Managed) Or Required upon
hire: Washington Counselor Certified Certification (Vendor Managed)
Or Required upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker License
(Vendor Managed) Or Required upon hire: Washington Clinical
Independent Social Worker License (Vendor Managed) Or Required upon
hire: Washington Social Worker Certificate (Vendor Managed) Or
Required upon hire: Washington Behavioral Analyst License (Vendor
Managed) Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this
role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential
functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with
disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are
fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to
50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance
vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the
ability to adjust focus. In a healthcare setting, exposure to
bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and conditions typical to the
field is expected. Routine use of standard medical equipment and
tools associated with clinical care is essential. This description

$57.71 The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional
compensation may be available for this role, such as shift
differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift
