Job Title: Registered Nurse - Inpatient Wound Care Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days (4/10)
Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN
License Certifications: BLS, CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)
Must-Have: CWON certification, no previous travel experience
required Description: Manage and coordinate patient care and wound
management in consults and recommendations. Adhere to established
standards and defined timelines for overall care plans. Document
all relevant information and assist with billing processes. Provide
discharge instructions for supplies and wound care. Identify,
assess, and prevent wound complications while offering continuing
education to patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to
enhance patient outcomes. Common patient diagnoses include
ostomies, draining wounds, pressure ulcers, vascular, arterial, and
diabetic ulcerations, as well as skin conditions due to
incontinence, surgical procedures, or trauma. Utilize wound vacs
and provide education on their use. Treat a minimum of 5 to 15
patients daily, depending on the day. Work alongside 3 to 4 other
RNs in this role. No weekend or holiday requirements. Floating to
other facilities is occasionally required, sometimes with advance
