Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Edmonds, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,166 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Edmonds, Washington, 98026! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Newborn care. License: Active compact license required. Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Previous charge experience and familiarity with Epic charting system. Description: All previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of three months to qualify for a travel position. Candidates must have experience in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care. Floating among areas may be required as needed. Key patient diagnoses include Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care. Special procedures include Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Delivery, circulating in the OR, starting adult IVs, and administering blood and blood products. Experience with drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and the administration of insulin and magnesium sulfate is required. Candidates will circulate C/S, manage high-risk antepartum, high-risk Labor and Delivery, as well as low-risk antepartum and labor. Special equipment experience is needed for OB-GYN, Post-Op, and Pre-Op couplet care. A staffing ratio of 1:1-3 is maintained. Key skills include teaching hospital experience, high-risk antepartum, LDRP, triage of obstetrical patients, and IV administration. Other responsibilities include maintaining and starting IVs, handling anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and medication drips. Assisting with high-risk delivery and circulating for C-sections are essential skills. The nurse will conduct sterile vaginal exams, manage pain assessment, and ensure compliance with isolation precautions. Daily census and number of rooms or beds are not specified.
