Doctor of Medicine | Pathology Location: Bainbridge Island, WA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $235 to $250 per hour Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 9 hours Start Date: 3/26/2026 About the Position Locum Tenens Pathologist Description We are seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist for a locum tenens assignment beginning March 2026. This position supports a pathology department experiencing a shortage of providers and focuses on Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology. The assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule with no current call requirements. Job Responsibilities Perform surgical pathology case review and reporting Interpret and diagnose cytopathology specimens Manage approximately 20–30 pathology cases per day Utilize Cerner LIS / CoPath pathology information system for documentation Collaborate with existing pathology support staff Maintain compliance with departmental and regulatory standards Qualifications Board Certified in Pathology (Required) Completed Residency/Fellowship (Required) Washington State Medical License (Highly Preferred; IMLC LOQ accepted) Ability to complete credentialing within approximately 3 months Working Hours ? Schedule: Monday–Friday Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Days per Month: 20 Orientation: March 26–27, 2026 Assignment Duration: February–August 2026 Call: None currently required (dependent on skill set) Skills Strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology and cytopathology Proficiency with laboratory information systems (Cerner/CoPath preferred) Attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume case environments Effective communication and collaboration with clinical teams Ability to work independently in a structured pathology setting Compensation Pay Rate: $250 per hour Travel: Covered Lodging: Covered Malpractice: Covered
