Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Renton, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,290 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Night Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience License: Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of ICU experience Description: The unit has 30 private beds, with 2 being negative air flow. Patient-to-nurse ratios are mostly 2:1. Common diagnoses include medical ICU patients, sepsis, respiratory failure, and strokes, including TPA/thrombectomy recovery. Target temperature management is practiced. The unit receives patients directly from the cath lab. Nurses are expected to titrate medications as prescribed. Common drips include norepinephrine, vasopressin, inhalation epoprostenol, pressors, and sedation. A charge nurse works without patients and a house supervisor is available 24/7. No nurse aids are present on this unit. The unit strives to staff with two resource RNs in addition to the charge nurse. Telemetry is available, and RNs are required to read cardiac strips as there are no monitor technicians. Shifts are 12 hours long, running from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Scheduling is managed at the unit level with flexibility for travelers. An every-other-weekend requirement is in place, although additional weekend work can be requested. Holiday work may be required based on unit needs. Travelers may be expected to be on standby if low census occurs. Floating to medical/surgical units may be required to complete full assignments. Scrub colors are royal blue. Unit-specific orientation includes 2 days of training followed by 1 additional day shift or night shift orientation. All requests for time off must be submitted prior to the start of the contract. The cancellation policy allows for 1 shift off per 2-week period. Charting is conducted using an electronic system.
