TravelNurseSource is working with MedCadre to find a qualified
ER/Trauma RN in Olympia, Washington, 98503! About The Position
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (09:00 - 21:30) Description: THIS POSITION
REQUIRES HIGH LEVEL ER TRIAGE SKILLS 3 YRS EXPERIENCE This is a 12
hour shift from 0900-2130 (there may be a time that the caregiver
may be asked to fill in for the 0700-1930 shift if that shift is
uncovered). This is considered a patient facing position, although
there is not any direct patient care. The caregiver will be doing
EPIC chart assessments and determining unit placement based on the
assessment. The Patient Placement RN is responsible for high level
assessment and quick initiation of level of care decisions for
patient's waiting for placement in an inpatient setting. Critical
goal is to assure high quality, individualized, cost-effective
patient placement. Ensures accurate admission status demonstrating
initiative and effective decision making. The Patient Placement RN
coordinates those functions associated with level of care
determination / placement and collaborates with other departmental
staff diverting of patient to more appropriate level of care from
ED, and assuring projected discharge occurs in a timely manner
resulting in an available bed. Collaborates with pre-admission care
coordinators, i.e. transport coordinators, physicians, nursing
staff, ancillary and other professional multidisciplinary team
staff to define and achieve optimal placement outcomes. Beds: 390
Weekend Coverage: EVERY OTHER Certifications: BLS (REQUIRED)
