Distributed Cloud PlatformWe're looking for a seasoned Principal
Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of Points of
Presence (PoP) expansion and networking capabilities within our
SaaS platform. With our business growing rapidly, expanding our
infrastructure footprint is critical to ensuring performance,
availability, and compliance for our customers across geographies.
This role is ideal for a strategic, technical product leader who
thrives at the intersection of platform infrastructure, global
scalability, and customer impact.Job Requirements
- Responsible for the development of F5's Global Network and PoP
Expansion strategy in collaboration with Sales, Solution
Architects, Platform Engineering and SRE.
- Develop a forecasting model leveraging F5 Distributed Cloud's
global network and PoP usage
- Drive innovation in network connectivity to applications hosted
in private, public cloud and in Co-lo data centers.
- Define automation requirements to provide seamless experience
for customers to connect to distributed cloud.
- Define and monitor key product metrics to measure success and
inform future investmentsRequired Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of experience in delivering or developing networking
products or services.
- 7 years of product management experience in cloud platforms, or
network services.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, internet
infrastructure, and cloud networking (latency, routing, CDN,
etc.).
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to gather
insights from diverse stakeholders and distill complex information
into clear, concise narratives.How to stand out? (Preferred
Qualifications)
- Advanced knowledge of eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, etc.
- Strong understanding of Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity
models MPLS, IPSec VPN, GRE, SDWAN.
- Knowledge in AWS, GCP, or Azure networking
- Knowledge in TLS/SSL and certificate management.
- Understanding of Application Delivery and Security
- Familiarity with regulatory and data localization requirements
