The incumbent will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks: • Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices. • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems. • Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment. • Modifies circuitry to improve performance. • Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems. • Provides operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel. • Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation. • Assists engineering staff in determining and solving equipment design problems. • May perform quality assurance testing of assemblies and equipment fabricated by other technicians. • May provide work leadership to less-experienced technicians. • Participates in special projects, as required. Certifications: Cableway Certified, Cableway Inspector, Cableway Inspector, Cableway Inspector, Connertor Certified Modular, COAX, Multi-Pin Connector Fabricator and Inspector: Connector Trained and Qualified with 40 hours OJT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
