Job Description:

Gpac is working with a CPG company in SoCal that is seeking an experienced National Sr Account Manager for their Sales team. This individual would be responsible for managing and seeking out new accounts in the FDM, distribution, pet specialty, and/or in grocery account experience. They will also have experience with freeze dried pet or food products and have relationships with buyers for those products.
Review performance data (financial, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels
Utilize variance reports, acquired technical product knowledge, market trends, and industry publications, establish personal networks and participate in pet industry trade shows.
Service existing accounts, identify opportunities for growth, and have a purpose for the visit. Drive to sell and grow territory volume, number of customer accounts, and sales revenue
Obtain orders and increase sales volume by presenting both promotions and new lines.
Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information, identifying competitor trends, and assessing the presence and merchandising techniques.
Keep management apprised of sales activity via various reports (call logs, work plans, territory analysis). Maintain technical knowledge by learning about products and trends, reading industry publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in pet industry trade shows.
Focus on customer satisfaction and building client relationships.
Five years of pet industry sales experience
Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT
Some traveling required.
